H+H partners with volume housebuilders
H+H has a nationwide service and as a result supplies the vast majority of volume housebuilders in the UK.
We work with our housebuilding partners to help manage supply by delivering on time, meeting expectations and working with them to develop aircrete solutions.
As ‘partners in wall building’ H+H works with customers from the initial design stage right through to the completion of all building work. Our dedicated technical teams offer proven expertise for planning, design and project management.
Onsite support is also supplied. Our regional representatives regularly call into sites to check the progress of a build and provide guidance with installation techniques when needed. Branch and onsite training can also be provided where required.
Net zero by 2050
H+H values our long term partnerships with loyal and trusted customers. These are supported through ongoing investment to ensure continuity of output and our ability to meet market demand as it grows.
Our continuous improvement programme focusses on more efficient production to create high quality, sustainable products.
H+H is committed to sustainability. We have been working with housebuilders to develop energy efficient house designs for decades.
In 2020, H+H International (the H+H UK parent company) committed to a target of zero carbon operation by 2050. At H+H UK we will be using third-party verified Science-Based Targets to measure the impact of our actions as we work towards this long-term low-carbon agenda.
Traditional wall building
Our single most popular product is our Standard Grade Celcon Block – the all-round aircrete product introduced to the market over 70 years ago and still used to build new homes across the country today.
All H+H aircrete products are BBA approved. Used in partition and external walls (both solid wall and cavity) they provide durability and fire resistance as well as superb thermal and sound insulation.
Innovative building methods
H+H continues to invest its technical expertise in product innovation. Working in conjunction with its customers, H+H develops solutions that are most appropriate for their needs.
It was this type of consultation that resulted in the development of the I-House System: a fast, efficient method of build for volume housebuilders.
Based on H+H Vertical Wall Panels – storey-high panels of aircrete – the I-House System provides prefabricated panels for on-site assembly. This allows the weathertight structure of a standard house design from foundation to roof to be completed within one week on site. This approach also requires fewer skilled site workers, another benefit given the skills shortage across the construction sector.
I-House combines H+H Vertical Wall Panels with prefabricated timber floor cassettes and prefabricated roofs. Vertical Wall Panels are manufactured offsite and craned into place for an extremely fast and dimensionally accurate method of wall building.
As they have significantly fewer joints, the Vertical Wall Panels perform extremely well in air-tightness tests and meet the U-value requirements of building regulations.
This system allows housebuilders to benefit from the speed and efficiency of offsite construction while still using a recognised, trusted and proven material.
