Mineral Products Association: Masonry
MPA Masonry is the industry body that represents the manufacturers of aircrete and concrete blocks. MPA Masonry also provides information to housing developers, designers, housebuilders, end-users and occupants to enable them to understand the benefits of masonry construction and how masonry contributes to a sustainable built environment. MPA Masonry is part of the Mineral Products Association (MPA).

Mineral Products Association:
MPA is the industry trade association for the aggregates, asphalt, cement, concrete, dimension stone, lime, mortar and silica sand industries. With the merger of British Precast, and affiliation of the British Association of Reinforcement (BAR), Eurobitume, MPA Northern Ireland, MPA Scotland and the British Calcium Carbonate Federation, it has a growing membership of 520 companies and is the sectoral voice for mineral products.

British Board of Agrément (BBA):
BBA is recognised by architects, building planners, Local Authorities, contractors and inspectors as the leading impartial approval and certification body for construction products. Certificates are awarded to products that have passed a series of comprehensive assessments. These are tailored to the products under consideration and in line with building specification guidelines. All H+H products carry the relevant BBA certification, providing third-party assurance of quality and performance.

Builders Merchants Federation (BMF):
The BMF represents the interests of the building materials distribution sector. It is the active hub of merchant and supplier activity in the UK. As such it works closely with allied industry groups and regulatory bodies such as trading standards and planning departments. It works to ensure that issues affecting member merchants and suppliers are tackled promptly and effectively.

Building Research Establishment (BRE):
The BRE is world-leading group of researchers, scientists, engineers and technicians whose goal is to improve buildings and infrastructure through research and knowledge generation. British Standards Institution (BSI):

Eurocode6.org:
Eurocode 6: Design of Masonry Structures comprises a body of standards produced on a European basis that have been adopted in the UK. There is an online resource providing further information on the Eurocode and the national annexes relevant to the UK. Regular training courses on Eurocode 6 are also available via this group.

International Masonry Society:
The IMS has an international reputation in the field of masonry literature, the dissemination of research and current thinking, as well as the organising of meetings, seminars and symposia.
